Residential Electrical Services, Central Coast

Your home's electrical should just work. When it doesn't, or when you need something new, we'll sort it properly.

What we do for homeowners

We handle all the electrical work your home needs. Not just the big stuff like rewiring or switchboard upgrades, but the everyday jobs too. New power points where you actually need them. Better lighting in the kitchen. A ceiling fan for the bedroom that doesn't wobble.

Most of our residential work comes through word of mouth. Someone recommends us, we turn up, get the job done, and then they recommend us to their neighbour. That's how it's worked for 25 years.

We work on everything from fibro cottages in Woy Woy to new builds in Kariong. Every home is different, and we'll tell you what actually needs doing rather than upselling you on work you don't need. If a job's going to cost more than expected, you'll know before we start.

All our work comes with a certificate of compliance where required. We test everything before we leave, clean up after ourselves, and make sure you're happy with the result.

Why homeowners choose us

Same sparky every time

We're a small team. You won't get a different face every visit. Edward knows your house, your wiring, and your preferences.

We clean up after ourselves

Shoes off at the door, drop sheets down, and everything swept up when we're done. Your home should look better when we leave, not worse.

Upfront pricing, no surprises

We quote the job, you agree, we do it. If something unexpected comes up, we'll talk to you before any extra costs are incurred.

We know Central Coast homes

After 25 years working on homes from Woy Woy to Wyong, we know the common issues, the typical wiring styles, and what works best in each area.

Common questions

When should I upgrade my wiring?

If your home was built before the 1980s and hasn't been rewired, it's worth getting a check. Signs include flickering lights, warm power points, regularly tripping safety switches, or discoloured outlets. We can inspect your wiring and tell you exactly what needs doing.

How much does it cost to add a power point?

It depends on where it's going and what's behind the wall. A straightforward install in an accessible spot is usually $150-$250. If we need to run cable through a ceiling or under a floor, it'll be more. We'll give you an upfront quote before any work starts.

Do I need a licensed electrician for small jobs?

In NSW, all electrical work must be done by a licensed electrician. That includes swapping a light fitting, adding a power point, or installing a ceiling fan. It's the law, and it's there for good reason. DIY electrical work voids your insurance and puts your family at risk.

How often should smoke alarms be checked?

Test them monthly by pressing the test button. Replace batteries yearly (or when they start chirping). NSW law requires hardwired, interconnected smoke alarms with a 10-year battery backup in all homes sold or rented. If yours are the old 9-volt battery type, they need replacing.
